Energy drinks danger to teens
According to medical journal paediatrics, energy drinks over used can be danger to children’s and teens. Now a days energy drinks are very popular in all markets and most if the teens are addicted with this. The potential harms because of the high amount of caffeine and other chemicals.
Ingredients of energy drinks.
The main ingredient in most energy drinks is caffeine, methylxanthines, vitamin B, herbs, carbonated water, guarana, yerba mate, acai, taurine, plus various forms of ginseng, maltodextrin, inositol, carnitine, creatine, glucuronolactone, and ginkgo biloba. Some energy drinks contain high amount of sugar.
The potential harms caused by this chemicals. This will leads to heart palpitations, seizures, strokes, some times high amount can cause sudden death. There is a real story from Carl Junction Missouri US, that one 18 year Dakota sailor got a seizure attack and was admitted in the hospital after drinking two large bottle of energy drink. He was admitted in the hospital 5 days last year. According to Dr.Steven Lipshultz, (paediatrics chairman at the university of Miami’s medical school) said that we would discourage the routine use of energy drinks.
