200 mg/dl – 239 mg/dl : borderline

240gm/dl and above : high risk

Triglycerides

Less than 150 gm/dl : normal

150gm/dl – 199gm/dl : borderline high

200gm/dl – 499gm/dl : high

500gm/dl and above : very high

LDL (Low-density lipoprotein)

Less than 100 ml/dl : optimal

100mg/dl – 129gm/dl : near optimal / above optimal

130gm/dl – 159gm/dl : borderline high

160gm/dl – 189gm/dl : high

190gm/dl and above : very high

Total Cholesterol

Less than 200ml : desirable
